We’ve got you covered
If yours isn’t here, ask us at the bottom of the page. We answer properly, not with a brochure.
01. What is EasyPage?
EasyPage is a website builder made for New Zealand tradies. You pick a finished design built for your trade, put in your details and photos, and publish. Hosting and SSL are included on every plan, and your own NZ domain is included on Business.
02. Who is EasyPage for?
New Zealand trade and local service businesses — plumbers, builders, electricians, roofers, painters, landscapers, mechanics, and others like cleaners, salons and clinics. The designs are built around what those businesses need: services, photos of your work, reviews, and a way for customers to ask for a quote. It isn't built for online shops.
03. How much does EasyPage cost?
Business is $29 + GST a month and includes your own domain — that's a launch price, normally $39 + GST, locked in for as long as you stay. Starter is $9.90 + GST a month and uses a free yourbusiness.bangon.nz address instead of your own domain. There's no setup fee, it's month to month, and you can cancel any time.
04. Do I need to point my domain myself?
Not for the domain that comes with Business — we register it and point it at your website, so there are no DNS settings for you to change. If you're connecting a domain you already own, you add one record where you bought it and we do the rest.
05. Can customers ask me for a quote through my website?
Yes. Every design has an enquiry form. When someone fills it in, it's emailed to you straight away, and replying to that email answers them directly. You choose whether the form asks for their phone, email, suburb and which service they're after.
06. Can I show customer reviews?
Yes. Add reviews your customers have given you — their words, their name and their suburb — and your design shows them. You can also link to your Google reviews. We don't publish a rating score, because there's no honest way to work one out from reviews you've typed in yourself.
07. Do I have to build anything myself?
Not build, no. You pick a design that's already finished and put your own words and photos into it — click the text on the page and type over it. There's no layout to design and nothing you can break.
08. What if I don't have a logo or good photos?
That's fine. With no logo we set your business name in type instead, and with no photos we use stock imagery that suits your trade. Swap in your own whenever you take better ones.
09. Can I change the wording later?
Yes, whenever you like, and it's live straight away. Open your site, click the words you want to change, and type. It saves as you go, so you can stop halfway and come back to it.
10. Do I need my own domain?
Not on Starter. You get a free yourbusiness.bangon.nz web address and you're live today. If you want your own domain — yourbusiness.co.nz — that's Business: we check the name is free, register it, point it at your site, and pay the renewal every year you're with us.
11. Can I use a domain I already have?
Yes, on Business. You add a single record where you bought it and we do the rest. It stays yours the whole time, and if you ever leave we'll point it wherever you like.
12. Is the domain included with Business?
Yes, and that's the part worth reading twice. Most website builders give you a domain free for the first year and put it on your bill from the second — often at a higher price than a registrar would charge. On Business it's included for as long as you're subscribed: we pay the renewal every year and keep it pointed at your site. You never get a separate domain bill from us. It covers .co.nz, .nz, .kiwi.nz, .com, .org and .app.
13. Do I need to know anything about websites?
No. Pick a design, add your details, and we take care of the technical side — the hosting, the certificate, the address, the renewals. If you can fill in a form and send a photo from your phone, you can do this.
14. Can I get email on my domain — hello@mybusiness.co.nz?
Yes, and there are two ways depending on whether you just want to receive or you want to send from it too. Receiving is free: we point hello@yourbusiness.co.nz at whatever inbox you already use, so it arrives in your normal email on your phone with nothing to learn. The catch is that when you reply it comes from your existing address, not the new one. If you want to send as hello@yourbusiness.co.nz as well, you need a real mailbox — Google Workspace, Microsoft 365 or Zoho all do this from a few dollars a month. You buy that directly from them, and we add the records to make it work. We don't sell mailboxes ourselves and we don't want to be between you and your email: if it ever goes down that's your business stopping, and you should be talking to the people who run it rather than waiting on us. Ask us either way and we'll set up the DNS side.
15. Can I get a .com.au?
Not registered by us, no — and the reason is worth knowing. Australia's registry requires the domain to be registered against your own ABN or ACN, with a verified address, and that can't be handed over to us to do on your behalf. So you register it yourself, which takes a few minutes at any Australian registrar, and then you add one record and we take it from there — the same as anyone bringing a domain they already own. If you'd rather we handled the whole thing, take the .com instead: it's included, we register it, and we keep paying for it.
16. Which designs do I get on each plan?
All of them, on both plans, including any we add later. The plans don't differ on how your site looks — they differ on the address people type to reach it.
17. What does the local SEO setup actually do?
It fills in the machine-readable version of your business for Google, from what you've already typed: your trading name, phone, email, address, the suburbs you cover, your services, your social pages and how long you've been going. That's what local results and the map pack are built from — not your wording. On top of that, every page gets its own title and description automatically, your articles are marked up as articles, and your site gets a sitemap that updates itself whenever you add a service, a job or a post. It's all done the moment you publish: nothing to set up, no add-on to buy. What it can't do is invent a star rating, so we publish reviews as words only — a made-up score is the kind of thing Google penalises sites for.
18. Will my site show up on Google?
Your site is set up so Google can find it, read it and understand what you do and where you work — the technical side is done for you and it's done properly. Where you land in the results is up to Google, and nobody can honestly promise you a position. The two things that move the needle after that are both yours: a Google Business Profile (free, and it's what gets you into the map results) and writing about the jobs you actually do. Ask us and we'll tell you what's worth your time.
19. Can I see what people searched for before they found me?
Yes, through Google Search Console — it's free and it's the only place that shows you the actual words people typed. The part that usually stops people is proving you own the domain, which means adding a DNS record. If your domain came with your plan, we look after that: you paste the code Google gives you into your Domain page and we publish the record for you. The account stays yours.
20. What happens when I share my website on Facebook or send it to a customer?
It shows your photo, your business name and a line about what you do, instead of a bare link. That's set up from your own site — the photo of the page you're sharing, or your hero photo, or your logo — so it's right from the first day without you touching anything.
21. Will Google see my site before it's finished?
No. While you're still working on it, your site tells search engines not to index it and turns them away at the door, so a half-finished page under your business name can't end up in someone's search results. It becomes visible to Google when you press Publish, and we tell the search engines that accept it straight away rather than waiting to be found. Google isn't one of those — it works to its own schedule — which is why your sitemap and Search Console still matter.
22. Am I locked into a contract?
No. It's month to month, and you cancel yourself — it's on your site's page and on your account page, no email to send and nobody to talk out of it. Cancelling stops the next payment; your site stays up for the rest of the month you've already paid for.
23. Do you do refunds?
No. Payments already made aren't refunded, including part months when you cancel mid-month. That's why there's no setup fee and no contract — the most you can ever be out is the month you're in, and you can stop it before the next one at any time.
24. What happens if I want something the design doesn't do?
Ask us. Email what you're after and we'll tell you straight whether it's a change we can make, a job worth quoting, or something you're better off not paying for.
25. How long does it take?
Most of it depends on you. The designs are finished, so the work is putting your own details and photos in — an hour or so if you have them ready. Publishing is one button after that.
26. Who actually owns the website?
The content and the domain are yours. The design is ours, licensed to you for as long as you're subscribed — the same way every other subscription website service works.
27. How is it only $9.90?
Because you fill in your own details instead of paying us to sit in a meeting about it. The designs are already built — you're not paying for a custom job you don't need.
28. Do I own my domain?
Yes. If you leave, we'll transfer it to you or point it wherever you like. Free, no argument. It's your business name — it was never ours.
29. What if I'm hopeless with computers?
If you can fill in a form and send a photo from your phone, you can do this. Every question has an example already filled in — you're changing words, not building anything. And there's a chat on every page if you want a hand.
Still deciding?
