Privacy Policy

Last updated 11 September 2026.

This says what we collect, why, who we hand it to, and how to ask us about it — in the same plain English as the rest of this site.

Who this is

EasyPage is operated by Rong Liu, trading as EasyPage (“we”, “us”). This policy covers three different people, because the site does three different jobs:

  • you, if you have a EasyPage account and are building a website with us
  • someone who fills in the enquiry form on one of our customers' websites
  • someone who fills in the enquiry form on easypage.nz itself, asking us about the service

We’re a New Zealand business, and this policy is written against the Privacy Act 2020.

What we collect

Your account

Your name, email and — if you add it — phone number. If you sign in with Google, we get your name and email from Google; we never see your password either way, since sign-in is handled by our authentication provider, Supabase.

Payment

Handled entirely by Stripe. We see that you paid, and the plan you paid for — we don’t receive or store your card number.

What you put on your website

Business details, photos, your services, past jobs, team members, reviews — whatever you fill into the editor. Once your site is published, this is public: anyone can see it, the same as any website.

If you register a domain through us

Your name, email, phone (if given) and, for a company, the company name — sent to our domain registrar, Porkbun, to register the domain. For a .nz domain this can end up on a public register: .nz keeps most personal details off it for an individual registrant, but not for a company. See the domain section of our Terms for how registration actually works.

If someone enquires on your site

Their name, phone, email, suburb, what they’re after and their message — stored so we can show it to you and email it to you. That’s their information, given to your business through your website; once it’s in your hands, what you do with it is between you and them.

If someone enquires with us directly

The lead form on easypage.nz collects a name, business name, email, phone, trade and message, so we can get back to them.

Technical bits

We log an IP address and browser details briefly in a couple of places — as evidence that someone actually ticked the domain registration consent box, and to stop forms being spammed. We don’t run advertising or tracking cookies, and we don’t sell anything we collect to anyone.

What we use it for

  • running your account and your website
  • taking payment and keeping your subscription going, through Stripe
  • registering and managing a domain, if you've asked us to
  • getting an enquiry from your website into your inbox
  • emailing you things you need — confirming your account, resetting a password, letting you know about your billing
  • answering you when you ask us something
  • fixing things when they break, and improving the product
  • meeting our own legal and tax obligations

Who we share it with

Nobody we don’t need to. The services that run EasyPage, and what each one sees:

  • Supabase — hosts our database, your login, and any photos you upload
  • Stripe — processes payment; holds your card details, not us
  • Porkbun — our domain registrar, only involved if you register a domain through us
  • Resend — sends the emails EasyPage sends
  • Vercel — hosts the website itself
  • Google — measures how this website is used, through Google Analytics
  • Meta — measures which of our Facebook and Instagram ads lead to sign-ups

Each of those has its own privacy policy for how it handles what we send it. We don’t sell personal information. When someone signs up or subscribes after clicking one of our adverts, we tell Meta so we can tell which adverts are worth running. To match it to the right advert click we send a scrambled (one-way hashed) version of the email address, never the address itself, and never anything else about you — see Cookies and analytics. That is measurement, not a customer list: we do not hand anyone your details to advertise to you elsewhere.

Where it's stored

Our database is hosted in Sydney, Australia. Stripe, Resend and Porkbun are based overseas too, as most payment, email and registrar providers are. Sending information to a provider outside New Zealand to actually run the service is normal for a product like this, and it’s how we’re able to keep this simple and the price down.

How long we keep it

While your account is active, we keep what you’ve given us — that’s what makes the site work. If you cancel, your site stops being public but your content isn’t deleted straight away, in case you come back. Ask us to delete it and we will, other than what we’re required to keep for tax or legal reasons (invoices, mainly).

Enquiries sent through your website stay in your dashboard as your record of the leads you’ve had — delete individual ones or ask us to clear the lot.

Your rights

Under the Privacy Act 2020, you can ask us to:

  • tell you what we hold about you
  • correct it, if it's wrong
  • delete it, other than what we're legally required to keep

Email hello@easypage.nz and we’ll sort it — no form to fill in. If you’re not happy with how we’ve handled it, you can take it to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner.

Cookies and analytics

One cookie keeps you signed in. Beyond that, we use:

  • Google Analytics — how many people visit, which pages they read, and which site or search sent them. We see totals and patterns, not individuals.
  • Meta Pixel — tells Facebook and Instagram when someone who clicked one of our ads goes on to sign up or subscribe, so we can tell which ads are worth paying for. It also lets us show ads to people who have visited this site.

Both of those set cookies and both are run by companies overseas. They are on the EasyPage website only — the websites we build for our customers carry no analytics and no advertising cookies at all, which their own privacy pages say.

You can stop them with any ad blocker, with “Do Not Track” in your browser, or in your Facebook and Google ad settings. Nothing on this site stops working if you do, and we will not ask you again with a banner.

Children

EasyPage is a business tool for running a trade business. It’s not aimed at children, and we don’t knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Changes to this policy

If we change what we collect or what we do with it, we’ll update the date at the top of this page. Anything that actually changes what you agreed to, we’ll email you about rather than leave you to notice.
